Do Things in Good Measure.. Someone Needs It

Why do people do good things. I am certain some charitable works are done with concept of receiving something in return. Reciprocity is the way of American society especially in any social construct that utilizes political measures. What bothers me the most is that in times like the ones we are in now, good things need to be done just because. Wars and rumors of wars, crime on the rise, and economic distress have made it very difficult for some to simply keep their heads above water.

I was driving home from work last week and I saw a bread line. An actual breadline! It dumbfounded me because I never thought I'd see something my grandparents experienced during the depression. My business partners and I decided to partner with a few promoter friends and host a food drive. I cannot describe to you how great it felt to turn that food over to people who need it. I turn on the news and I see stock market drops and corporate bailouts and sometimes I wish someone would come and bail me out from the mental drain of all the negativity of our world.

There has never been a greater time than this holiday season to do something good for someone other than yourself. I encourage you to pay it forward.
